Meet Carolyn
Carolyn's love of sewing began at just nine years old, on her mother's old Singer sewing machine. Over the years, she created many beautiful things, but life eventually took her in other directions. After a busy career and years away from sewing, she rediscovered her passion in retirement and joined a small quilting group. What began as a small group of people brought together by the shared interest became a circle of lifelong friends. And that's one of the things Carolyn loves most about quilting — it's not just about making beautiful things, but about the people you meet along the way.

Today, her sunny sewing room in Ajax is filled with quilts, colourful fabrics, and works in progress. From cozy quilts to pillows and table runners, Carolyn loves turning fabric into something beautiful, useful, and personal.
Now she's bringing her experience, enthusiasm, and love of quilting to Lana Marc Sewing Studio, hoping to create that same wonderful sense of community.

Learn accurate measuring and cutting techniques using professional quilting rulers, rotary cutters, and self-healing cutting mats.
Piece & Press
Master precise piecing, consistent seam allowances, block assembly, and proper pressing techniques for beautiful, accurate results.
Quilt & Finish
Learn how to layer your quilt, stitch the layers together, and finish the edges with binding.
Your Finished Project
By the end of four classes, you'll take home your own handmade quilted placemat, choosing from classic, floral, or festive Christmas-inspired designs.
Everything is included! Fabrics, materials, sewing machines, and specialized quilting tools are provided, so you can explore quilting without buying any equipment or supplies."
